Avenida 23 de Maio, originally known as Avenida Itororó and later Avenida Anhangabaú, is one of the busiest avenues in the city of São Paulo, being the main corridor connecting the neighborhoods of the sub-prefecture of Vila Mariana to the central region of the city. It is part of the North-South Corridor.
