This live camera is in North Haven on Skomer Island, off the Pembrokeshire coast in Wales. The island is a nature reserve managed by The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales and is famous for its puffin colony. The cameras run day and night and show the island's remarkable diversity of seabirds: besides puffins you can see razorbills, guillemots and gulls. By day you can watch the puffins interacting in the colony, and at night Manx shearwaters return to their burrows. Keep an eye out too for seals basking on the beaches and swimming in the surrounding waters. Puffins are on the island mainly in spring and summer, during the breeding season; the rest of the year the camera shows the sea, the cliffs and other birds. The microphones are switched off for privacy, as the cameras are close to staff accommodation.
