C5N, short for Canal 5 Noticias, is a 24-hour news channel from Argentina, based in Buenos Aires. Its schedule follows politics, the economy and daily life from early morning, with Bien Temprano and Mañanas Argentinas, through the afternoon editions and into the evening's analysis and debate shows such as Duro de Domar, hosted by Pablo Duggan. On Saturdays at 9 pm it airs TVR, a mix of humour and news with Carolina Papaleo and Juan Di Natale.
According to Ibope, C5N is Argentina's second most-watched news channel, after TN. Its studios are in the Juan Alberto Badía building in the Chacarita district, and its motto is #LaRealidad.
The channel was created by journalist and businessman Daniel Hadad and went on air on 6 August 2007 with Mañanas Argentinas. It has belonged to Grupo Indalo since 2012. For anyone following Argentina's politics and markets from abroad, it offers a direct view of the Buenos Aires news agenda.
