ABC News Live is the 24-hour streaming news channel of ABC News, the news division of the ABC network, built around breaking news, live events, newscasts and longer-form reports and documentaries. On weekdays the daytime newscasts are anchored by Diane Macedo and Kyra Phillips, ABC News Live Reports with Kayna Whitworth runs in the early evening and ABC News Live Prime with Linsey Davis follows at 7 pm Eastern.
The schedule also brings encores of ABC's best-known news programmes: ABC World News Tonight with David Muir, ranked by Nielsen as American television's most-watched evening newscast since 2016, 20/20, Nightline and This Week with George Stephanopoulos, plus weekend shows such as GMA Life, The Weekend View and What Would You Do?.
It is not the ABC broadcast network itself but its newsroom's round-the-clock channel. ABC News Live launched in March 2018, building on the earlier ABC News Now service from 2004. When a story breaks, from elections to storms and court rulings, it is one of the quickest ways to follow American news as it happens.
