CNN Portugal Live

CNN Portugal is the Portuguese-language news channel run by Media Capital under a licence from CNN, broadcasting from studios in Queluz de Baixo, near Lisbon. Mornings open with CNN Novo Dia, presented by Nuno Sousa Moreira and Cláudia Valente de Oliveira, followed by CNN Top Story, CNN Hoje and the lunchtime football round-up CNN Mais Futebol. In the evening, CNN Prime Time brings together the main stories with commentary and analysis.

Portuguese politics, the economy, the war in Ukraine and world affairs lead the agenda, alongside regular panel debates. The newsroom includes well-known anchors such as José Alberto Carvalho, Anselmo Crespo and Sandra Felgueiras, with Nuno Santos as director.

The channel launched on November 22, 2021, replacing TVI24, with a party at Lisbon's Jerónimos Monastery, and uses the motto "Em todas as frentes". For the Portuguese community abroad, or anyone wanting a Lisbon view of European news, CNN Portugal is available on CXTv.
