This page carries the international BBC News channel, formerly BBC World News, which brings the British broadcaster's journalism to audiences outside the UK. The schedule mixes hourly bulletins with programmes such as The Context, which unpacks the day's stories with guests, BBC News Now, a fast-paced rolling news show, and Newsday, focused on Asia.
Coverage of the United States and Canada sits alongside politics, conflicts, business, science and culture from around the globe, with correspondents worldwide and studios in London, Washington and Singapore. World Business Report covers the markets, while long-form reports and interviews fill the rest of the day.
The channel launched as BBC World in 1995, became BBC World News in 2008 and, since April 2023, has shared a common schedule with the BBC's UK news channel under the BBC News name.
