This live camera sits on the tower of St. Michael's Church (Hauptkirche St. Michaelis), the famous "Michel", one of Hamburg's best-known landmarks in Germany. From more than 100 metres up it offers a wide panorama of the city: the Port of Hamburg, the Landungsbrücken piers, the modern HafenCity district, the Elbphilharmonie concert hall, the shipyard docks and, in the distance, the Alster area. The baroque church stands in the southern Neustadt, is one of the most important baroque churches in northern Germany and seats around 2,500 people, as well as being a cultural hub for the city. On camera you can follow ships and ferries on the Elbe, the weather changing over the city and sunsets lighting up the rooftops. The high-definition stream is provided by livespotting, in partnership with St. Michaelis.
