Ponta Negra is a neighborhood in the Brazilian municipality of Manaus, capital of the state of Amazonas. Located in the West Zone of the city, the neighborhood enjoys one of the best HDIs in the city of Manaus, with an HDI of 0.930, with a quality of life similar to Switzerland and Australia, for example.
Ponta Negra Beach is one of the famous points in Manaus. Despite being fresh water, the sand is very fine and clear, with several stalls selling delicacies.
