Santos Dumont Airport

The live camera at Santos Dumont Airport shows one of Rio de Janeiro's most recognizable aviation scenes, with a view toward the runways and the area around Guanabara Bay. The airport sits close to the city center, beside the water and near well-known landmarks such as Sugarloaf Mountain, the Rio-Niterói Bridge and the bay shoreline. During the broadcast, viewers can usually see aircraft landing, taking off, taxiing and moving around the apron. The scene may also include boats crossing the bay, changes in weather, clouds over the hills and the daylight shifting across the airport area. It is a useful camera for people interested in aviation, Rio's landscape and the real-time routine of a busy urban airport surrounded by water and city views.
