Canal FDR is a Brazilian television station based in Fortaleza, in the capital of the state of Ceará, and belongs to Fundação Demócrito Rocha, which in turn is maintained by Grupo de Comunicação O Povo. The station's programming is transmitted by open digital signal (channel 48.1) and by closed signal (23 – Multiplay | 24 – Net | 138 – Brisanet).
Launched in 2007, THE FDR CHANNEL was born Tv O Povo. The blood of Journalism irrigated the station's intense production of content in its early years. The signal from TV Cultura, from São Paulo, also with a strong presence of journalism, occupied the rest of the menu of options offered to viewers.
For all this, we completed 14 years of activities of the educational broadcaster of the Fundação Demócrito Rocha. It also marks the broadcaster's assumption of its vocation and Tv O Povo is renamed Canal FDR.
