TV Brasil is Brazil's national public television network, run by the Brazilian Communication Company (EBC) and headquartered in Brasília. Its Portuguese-language schedule mixes news, talk shows, documentaries, sport, Brazilian cinema and children's programming, produced in-house and by partner stations across the country.
The flagship newscast is "Repórter Brasil", while "Caminhos da Reportagem" sends reporters around Brazil and the world in search of big stories. In the afternoon, the long-running talk show "Sem Censura" is back with host Cissa Guimarães. The lineup also includes the football programme "Trio de Ataque", the Brazilian film slot "Sessão de Cinema" and the aerial documentary series "Brasil Visto de Cima".
Launched on 2 December 2007, TV Brasil brought together the former TVE Brasil and TV Nacional and has its own stations in Brasília, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. A good way to discover Brazil, its regions and its culture, and to practise Portuguese.
