Eurosport

This is the French version of Eurosport, now called Eurosport 1, the Warner Bros. Discovery channel devoted entirely to sport, with French commentary. Its schedule follows the sporting year: in winter, the Alpine Ski World Cup, biathlon, the Four Hills ski-jumping tournament and figure skating; the rest of the year, cycling, tennis and motorsport.

In cycling it carries the Giro d'Italia, with a deal extended to 2029, and UCI World Tour classics; in tennis, the US Open; and on two and four wheels, events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Formula E, the Superbike World Championship, the World Endurance Championship and the Dakar Rally.

The French Eurosport was born on 15 March 1993 from a merger with the TV Sport channel and was renamed Eurosport 1 on 12 November 2015. It is based in Issy-les-Moulineaux, near Paris, and its slogan is "Libérer le pouvoir du sport". For fans of Olympic disciplines, cycling and endurance racing who don't mind French commentary, it is one of Europe's key sports channels.
