November 11 Embankment - One of Riga's most famous streets and one of the most important transportation hubs. Like the city itself, the dam has evolved over time. Originally as a pier, but later, in the 13th century, the construction of Riga Castle (today - the Presidential Palace) was a catalyst for the further development of the area.
