TRT 3 started its broadcasting life under the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation, which was established on October 2, 1989. TRT 3 is Turkey's entertainment channel for youth and young adults. It broadcasts television programs, foreign films and series in the field of youth with Turkish language support. In the late 1990s, it was partially broadcasting sports broadcasts. Due to TRT's lack of sports channels, it was completely transformed into a sports channel in 2008. From 2001 to 2015, it broadcast together with TRT GAP in the morning and afternoon. Today, it only broadcasts jointly with TBMM TV. Apart from this, it allocates sports broadcasts to broadcast streams such as TRT Spor. It has been broadcasting jointly with TBMM TV since 10 December 1994 and with TRT Spor since 9 August 2010. As of September 30, 2021, the SD broadcast of the channel ended and TRT 3 HD broadcast on the same frequency.
