Giallo Live

Giallo is an Italian channel devoted to crime drama all day long: investigations, detectives, suspense, mystery and noir, all in Italian. Its name comes from "giallo", the Italian word for the crime and mystery genre. Many of the shows will be familiar to British viewers, from L'ispettore Barnaby (Midsomer Murders) and Vera to Il giovane ispettore Morse (Endeavour) and Grantchester, alongside I misteri di Brokenwood, I misteri di Murdoch, set in late-19th-century Toronto, and Law & Order.

European series from elsewhere fill the rest of the day, such as the French Capitaine Marleau and Astrid e Raphaëlle and the Austrian Tatort - Vienna. Series outside prime time run Monday to Friday in the same slot and are repeated on Saturday mornings, which makes it easy to keep up with a whole season. A short news bulletin, TG Giallo, completes the line-up.

Run by Discovery Italia, Giallo TV has been on air since 2012 and sits on channel 38 of Italian digital terrestrial television. It is a good pick for anyone who loves detectives, whodunnits and a good mystery.
