TV Caravelas was created in 2009 by Fundação FAVI, showing its programming on the Community TV Channel in Ipatinga/MG, on cable TV, operator CLARO, channel 06.
The main focus of TV Caravelas is to promote the democratization of the media, opening space for the community to enjoy a television channel, where it can present its cultural activities and social demands. Through internship programs, it trains a specialized workforce in the areas of television production and generation.
