Canal 26 is an Argentine news channel whose schedule is built around newscasts and current-affairs shows: politics, the economy, public safety, weather, transport and the stories that shape daily life in Buenos Aires and across the country. The newsroom also follows international events closely, with special coverage of elections and major stories in Latin America and Europe.
The name comes from UHF channel 26 in San Justo, in Greater Buenos Aires, where the station started out. In its early years it mixed news with game shows, music and soaps, before becoming a news-only channel. It was the first Argentine channel to switch off its analogue signal, in 2011, moved to high definition in 2012 and, since 31 December 2025, has broadcast in 4K, a first for Argentina and Latin America.
