DASDING is the live video version of the public youth radio station of south-western Germany, aimed at 14 to 29-year-olds, with the motto "Liebt euch!". It first went on air on 17 May 1997 as part of a digital radio (DAB) pilot project by Südwestfunk and Süddeutscher Rundfunk, and for years was an SWR-only station; since June 2026 it has been the joint youth offer of SWR, Saarländischer Rundfunk and Hessischer Rundfunk, with its main newsroom in Baden-Baden, alongside SWR3. The programming is youth music radio, with chart hits, pop and rap, specialist shows, events and stories from the region, plus podcasts and videos on social media. It has also been on FM since 2000 and can now be heard in Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Hesse and Saarland, on DAB+, cable, satellite and online. It is a good pick for anyone who wants to watch and listen to German youth radio live.
