Trace Caribbean is a live music TV channel from the French group Trace, devoted to the music and cultures of the French- and English-speaking Caribbean. Launched on 12 February 2009 as Trace Tropical and renamed on 2 June 2020, the channel brings together zouk, soca, dancehall, kompa, reggae and kizomba and, alongside music videos, shows concerts, interviews and documentaries. Its schedule is made up mostly of back-to-back music videos, with playlists and charts of current hits, in the fast, visual style that defines the network's channels. Founded in 2002 by Olivier Laouchez, Claude Grunitzky and Richard Wayner and based in Clichy, in the Paris area, the Trace group specialises in Afro-urban cultures and runs around thirty TV channels, including Trace Urban, Trace Africa, Trace Caribbean and Trace Gospel, as well as radio stations and the Trace+ app, where the channels can also be watched. With the tagline "We Are One Caribbean", it is a good pick for anyone who wants to enjoy the rhythms of the West Indies and the wider Caribbean.
