TV Difusora is a Brazilian television station based in the city of São Luís, capital of the state of Maranhão. It operates on 4 VHF and 38 UHF digital channels, and is affiliated with SBT. Head office and network head of Rede Difusora, which broadcasts together with TV Difusora Sul and several affiliates in the state of Maranhão, the broadcaster belongs to Sistema Difusora de Comunicação, a communications group belonging to politician Edinho Lobão. Founded on November 9, 1963 by Magno Bacelar, its former owner, it is the first TV station in Maranhão.
