Emissora Geradora de TV Aberta, founded on January 16, 1992, operated on channel 55 UHF, however, since March 14, 2018, it operates on Digital Terrestrial TV on channel 55.1 due to the shutdown of the analog signal in Porto Alegre/RS. The TV station that comes closest to the Rio Grande community, being the main window where the gauchos really see each other and get information. As of January 28, 2022, TV Urbana changes its name and becomes Rede Sul de Televisão.
