RTL Lëtzebuerg Live

Luxembourg's main channel: news, magazines and BGL Ligue football in Luxembourgish

RTL Lëtzebuerg is Luxembourg's leading television channel and broadcasts in Luxembourgish, the language spoken across the Grand Duchy. Its schedule is built around news, magazine shows and entertainment, from the daily news and the current-affairs show "Studio 2" to the consumer quiz "Konsumente-Quiz" and documentary series such as "Schrëtt fir Schrëtt".

Football fans get "Gol - De Football zu Lëtzebuerg", which follows the BGL Ligue matchdays and the national team, nicknamed the Red Lions. When no programme is on air, the channel usually carries the RTL radio studio camera, text news and traffic cameras.

The channel launched on 21 October 1991 as RTL Hei Elei, the name it kept until 2001, and belongs to RTL Group, the media company headquartered in Luxembourg. Its sister channel is RTL Zwee. It is not the German RTL: everything here is made in and for Luxembourg, which makes it a good window on the country and its language.
