TV Prato is a live local TV channel from Prato, the second city of Tuscany, in central Italy. It was founded in January 1978 as Tv Prato 39 and from the start had a community vocation, following the city's great transformations under the motto "la Tv che abita qui". In 1996 it became the first broadcaster in Italy to produce and air a news bulletin in Chinese, an experience that lasted three years and, between 2009 and 2010, evolved into a multi-ethnic newscast in Chinese, Arabic, Urdu and Albanian. In 2012 it formed the Toscana Link consortium with TSD of Arezzo and the weekly Toscana Oggi. The channel's historical archive holds half a century of images of city life. Programming includes the 8:30 pm news bulletin, news on crime, politics, economy, health, culture, entertainment, sport and church life, its own shows and podcasts. The channel is on number 75 of digital terrestrial TV and on the website, with a live stream. A good choice for anyone who wants to follow daily life in Prato and its province.
